Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

You press the button and the ball rolls, spins, vibrates and changes direction on its own: your dog or cat chases it. After 5 minutes it stops and, in smart mode, it starts moving again when touched.

Which one should I choose?

For a small or medium dog, the 5.2 cm one (blue, orange or red): it is slightly smaller than a tennis ball. For a cat, the 4.3 cm one (pink or light blue). The cat ball is not for dogs. And with a big dog, or one that swallows balls, always stay with them while they play.

How long does the battery last?

About 180 minutes of play per charge, according to the manufacturer. Since it stops by itself after 5 minutes, it doesn't run down while nobody is playing with it.

How do you charge it?

By USB-C, with the cable that comes in the box. The dog ball opens like a shell: unscrew the shell anticlockwise and plug the cable into the core. On the cat ball, lift the silicone cap and the port is underneath. On the dog ball, a flashing blue light means charging; steady green, charged; flashing red, low battery.

Is it noisy?

Yes, it makes noise as it rolls and vibrates, more so on hard floors. People who have it say some dogs hesitate at first and that it is not for very skittish pets.

Does it stand up to biting?

The dog ball's shell is soft TPR and the manufacturer describes it as resistant to biting and drops. It is not a chew toy: it is for chasing. A dog that destroys balls will leave tooth marks on it and may end up opening it.

Can it be washed or get wet?

The dog ball's shell comes off and washes with water. The core, with the motor and the battery, is not water resistant: it is not for puddles or the pool.
